Major League Baseball Players Association sponsors Baseball Youth Road
Trip
Tour will travel to large attended youth ballparks around the United
States
MOREHEAD, KY –
Dugout Media, publisher
of Baseball Youth Magazine – The Nation’s Baseball Magazine For Kids, is
proud to announce the “Baseball Youth Road Trip” presented by Major
League Baseball Players Association, Topps, and Upper Deck Trading
Cards. The tour will travel around the nation each summer
visiting large attended national baseball
tournaments, Minor League Baseball games, hometown ballparks, and youth
World Series events.
During the next two months, the “Baseball Youth Road Trip” will visit
select cities in the East and Southeastern parts of the US to share
their passion for youth baseball to an expected audience of 500,000
youth players, fans, and families. The Baseball Youth team will depart
in Mid July and continue their road trip throughout the remainder of the
baseball season, culminating the end of August at the Cal Ripken World
Series and the Little League Baseball World Series. That is 40 stops in 10 states over 2 months!
Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) will be interacting
with kids and fans, highlighting their new interactive baseball card
campaign, while distributing baseball cards from Topps and Upper Deck.
During each stop, youth will participate in baseball card challenges,
contests, and games to receive prizes from Baseball Youth Magazine and
sponsors.
Baseball Youth, The Nation’s Baseball Magazine for Kids, is a
publication filled with features about major league stars, minor league
stadiums, instructional series, tips, fashion and more. “Our publication
will bring excitement back to the game that will allow for the rebirth
of youth baseball. There is no better way to promote the magazine and
MLBPA card campaign than to be out in the ballparks with kids,” says
Scott Hacker, president of Dugout Media.
You may follow the Baseball Youth Road Trip as they travel around the
nation! The Road Trip schedule and photos from the 2006 tour will be
posted on
www.baseballyouth.com as the tour progresses.
