Dugout Media Sports marketing professionals with today's youth in mind

About Our Leader

Scott M. Hacker ( e-mail ) - President / Owner of Dugout Media, has over 15 years experience in the sports marketing business.

Started Hacks Sports Magazine in 1998 in Northern Kentucky at the age of 23. With much effort and planning, Hacks Sports Magazine expanded from Northern Kentucky to the entire Greater Cincinnati area in 1999 and became affiliated with Reach Publishing Systems, Inc., a highly successful publishing company that specializes in the production of several different consumer brand magazines. At the same time, Hacker helped start Home Town Golf Magazine, Greater Cincinnati's premier golf magazine exclusively for members of the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association.

As Hacks Sports continued to grow in other areas, a sports marketing company was formed, Hacks Sports Marketing - a move that increased the potential for more companies and businesses to get involved in the world of sports through increased event marketing and advertising opportunities. Numerous of sporting events were produced involving high school athletics, such as national and regional basketball, football, baseball and softball events. These events led to Hacker starting the i-wireless ® Tour for Cincinnati Bell with WCPO Channel 9 that specifically targeted and interacted with teens at high school football and basketball games before and during the each sporting event.

In 2004, Hacker built a team to start the i-wireless ® Prep Classic high school football extravaganza held at Paul Brown Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bengals. The event brought in the nation's top high school football teams into Cincinnati to play Greater Cincinnati's best. FOX19 broadcasted the event Live. The event made a combined $300,000 donation that was split between these Cincinnati charities: Anthony Muñoz Foundation, Cris Collinsworth ProScan Foundation, and the Marvin Lewis Community Fund. These three foundations joined together to support the Pink Ribbon Health Clinic in Over-The-Rhine in Cincinnati.

While the Prep Classic was becoming a success, Hacker was also involved with the team in bringing other events, such as the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) Series, to the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio. More than 150 of the top professional beach volleyball athletes competed while NBC Sports broadcasted the event Live.

In 2005, Hacker stepped away from Hacks Sports Marketing to start Dugout Media, Inc. This move allowed for more creative opportunities. Dugout Media formed a partnership in the Minor League Baseball business by developing a 25-city interactive tour throughout Minor League Baseball ballparks. At the same time created the Prep Fever Tour, interactive high school football and basketball tours targeting teens throughout several cities across the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana region. In 2006, Baseball Youth (The Nation's Baseball Magazine For Kids) and the Baseball Youth Road Trip with Major League Baseball Players Association became the focus point of Dugout Media. Business partnerships included Disney Channel, Louisville Slugger, Backyard Sports, Airheads, Topps and Upper Deck. In 2007, Softball Youth Magazine and the Softball Youth Road Trip with National Pro Fastpitch was launched.

As Dugout Media continues to grow, more exciting opportunities will come to the forefront. In 2008, look for Soccer Youth Magazine with the Soccer Youth Road Trip and the Football Youth Magazine with the Football Youth Road Trip to take on the nation, as well as the launch of the Sports Youth Network (a world wide web network of anything to do with sports and youth).

Personal note: Played collegiate and professional baseball. Talented sports artist. Currently building a youth baseball ballpark called the Baseball Youth Dream Park to serve for community needs, as well as attracting tourism dollars to the region. Loves playing with his two children, AJ (7 years old) and Emily (4 years old), as well as taking long walks with his wife Kimberly and dog Griffey.
